Natalie Carroll is a professor in Youth Development and Agricultural Education and teaches Environmental Systems Management in the Department Agricultural and Biological Engineering where she holds a joint appointment. She received her B.S. in mathematics and M.S. and Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Michigan State University. Natalie's outreach focus is natural resources and environmental education for youth in informal settings. She has written or collaborated on 68 publications, served as committee chair for seven students, and committee member for 26 students from 12 departments. She has served as an investigator, co-investigator, or collaborator on grants totaling more than $27 million, primarily as the outreach coordinator or curriculum developer. Dr. Carroll has provided sessions at 402 conferences, schools, workshops, short courses, and other organized educational activities for 8,600 adults and 11,800 youth since joining Purdue in 1995.
