Patricia Hart is a Professor of Spanish in the School of Languages and Cultures. Her research centers of Hispanic literature and film. While at Purdue, she has served in turn as the Chair of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, the Director of the interdisciplinary Film and Video Studies program of the College of Liberal Arts, and Chair of the University Senate. She received Charles B. Murphy Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award in 2007.
