Ryan Cabot is a reproductive biologist and he joined the Department of Animal Sciences in 2004; He is currently the chair the Animal Science department’s graduate programs committee. His research program deals with mammalian embryo development using the domestic pig as the model system. The majority of projects in his lab are focused on events that take place during the first week of embryo development. He is trying to understand how early stressors that the embryo encounters can have a lasting impact on the developmental trajectory of the embryo.
