Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP)

The Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP) is a pathway to graduate education at Purdue University. This program is designed to provide equal access and opportunities to underrepresented and diverse students by preparing students for Graduate School by offering eight-weeks intensive research experiences, and graduate school resources that contributes to student's professional and academic growth.

Graduate Student Mentoring Fellows Work to Improve Mentoring Relationships in Engineering

At the Graduate School, we understand that effective mentoring is essential to the recruitment, retention, and advancement of talented graduate students. That is why we established the Graduate Student Mentoring Fellow Program in January 2022. Learn more about how two College of Engineering Graduate Student Fellows worked on an Individual Development Plan project focused on developing an academic and professional development tool tailored to new and advanced graduate students.

All Out War: How Mechanical Engineering Is Contributing to The Fight Against Cancer

"Cancer is arguably one of the most painful experiences that a person can undergo. In 2022 alone, approximately 1.9 million new cases of cancer were diagnosed in the United States, according to the American Cancer Society. Be it through the physical toll of illness or the emotional trauma of witnessing a close relative suffer from the disease, cancer destroys lives. Given this, it is no surprise that cancer research is a top priority of many scientists and research institutes." Learn how one Purdue graduate student is contributing to the fight against cancer.
