Purdue Engineering gives you the tools to solve problems, adapt to technological change, and work with diverse people to impact the world for the better!

Your First Job

Companies recruit at Purdue! Purdue's nationally recognized Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) is a centralized career services office that prepares our students and graduates to launch successful careers by providing career development and job search services utilizing connections with employers and organizations in the United States and beyond. Search for jobs, practice your interview skills, sharpen your resume, or grab a suit; the CCO is there to help! The CCO is a resource you can continue to utilize throughout your career as an alum, too!

Industrial Roundtable (IR) is the largest student run job fair in the country. There are typically around 400 companies on campus looking for awesome engineers. Many of the engineering programs also have their own individual job fairs on campus. There are so many ways to connect with the industry!

Graduate School

Approximately 25% of our students will roll straight into a graduate program or some form of continued education. Many continue in engineering however; many will consider a Master's in Business or go onto medical school or law school. For those who go straight into industry, close to half will end up completing a graduate program at some point. Purdue Engineering also has Dual Degree Programs (see below). Some students choose to stay at Purdue, while others move on to some of the finest institutions in the world, like Stanford, Cal Tech, Oxford, Illinois, and MIT.

5-Year Dual Degree Programs

The College of Engineering has a variety of degree programs that allow students to complete a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in 5 years. This can save you money, increase marketability, and allow you to more closely pursue your passions in an efficient time frame. Here is a current listing of dual degree programs across the university. Check out some of the popular ones below!

The Road Less Taken

We also have amazing alumni who will be commissioned in the military, join the Peace Corps, start their own businesses, teach, consult, or even go into the entertainment industry. It's incredible the places your Purdue Engineering degree can take you!
