Hey y’all I am struggling to understand this problem is point B a simple thrust bearing ?
I have a general question for 3D moment problems such as this one. When calculating the cross product to get the moment for a force, do we use the position vector or the perpendicular moment arm?
For instance, when calculating the moment caused by the force at B, should I use OB (9di -3dj) or just the vertical distance to the line of action (-3dj)?
