Are we considering the connection at point K as fixed or a sleeve? It does not say what connection it makes in the problem statement, which makes me assume fixed, but the picture looks like the pipe could still move in the z-direction, so I wanted to clarify with others.
I'm pretty sure that the connection would be fixed because it is not explicitly labeled and also I don't believe that sleeves have been covered in lecture yet.
Is there something that simplifies the moments and force equations for this problem that I am not seeing? Is there a way to use point K for moments and then not have to worry about the tensions causing a moment except for the one from point C and the reaction forces? Otherwise this is quite tedious.

I only ended up using Mx, My, and Mz equations at point O to solve for the 3 tensions. Since the question doesn't ask for the reaction forces, only using the moment equations at O allows me to ignore the reaction forces and directly solve for each tension forces sequentially.
I also only used the Mx, My, and Mz equations at point O.
Because the moments are equal to 0, if d is in every term in your equation, all of the d(s) can be canceled out.
Does the tension in each cable need to be written in vector form?
Since the lecture examples and quiz solutions use the magnitudes for the final answers, and it isn't explicitly asked for in the homework, I don't think so.
I do not believe so as it does not specify but I do not believe you will lose points if you do
Does anyone know if we should still include the reactions at the ball and socket at O?
I believe you need to use the force reactions by the nature of a ball and socket joint. There isn't a moment reaction, but it should factor into the force equations.
I think you should include it in your free body diagram. But you do not have to actually solve for it because they only ask for the tensions in the cables and not the reaction forces.
It's not explicitly stated, but can we assume that the weight of the object is negligible?
The weight is not mentioned so it is assumed to be negligible.
When taking the Force P while find the moment of P about point O, in which direction can we assume the force is acting on?
Force P acts in the +x direction on A.
