Research

The Hoskins Lab focuses on understanding how environmental contaminants, particularly per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), affect wildlife and ecosystem health. The lab uses aquatic ecosystems as models to study the complex interactions between multiple stressors, such as pollutants and pathogens, and their effects across biological scales from molecular changes to population-level impacts. His team employs a range of methods including lab experiments, field surveys, geospatial analysis, and ecological modeling.
