These new initiatives have been chosen from 30 submitted proposals. In an ever-changing world, Purdue Extension is launching big <a title=\"Purdue Extension-Forestry &amp; Natural Resources\" href=\"\/fnr\/extension\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u200b<\/a>ideas to identify and address priority issues to enhance quality of life as well as the efficiency and\/or effectiveness of organizations through research-based education.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to the following FNR teams that are moving the world forward:<\/p>\n<p><strong>ENHANCING THE VALUE OF PUBLIC SPACES: HEALTH, WELLNESS, AND DESIGNING THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Project Overview:<\/strong> Expand upon the existing <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.purdue.edu\/cdext\/thematic-areas\/community-planning\/enhancing-the-value-of-public-spaces.html#:~:text=The%20program%20combines%20data%20collection,an%20enhanced%20quality%20of%20life.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Enhancing the Value of Public Spaces<\/a> program to include a health component \u2014 building community capacities for accessible means for physical activity. $50,000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Team:<\/strong> Michael Wilcox, Assistant Program Leader for Community Development Extension, Purdue Center for Reginal Development; and <a title=\"Kara Salazar\" href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/fnr\/extension\/contact-us\/directory\/kara-salazar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kara Salazar<\/a>, Sustainable Communities Extension Specialist, Department of Forestry &amp; Natural Resources; Donna Vandergraff, Extension Specialist, Nutrition Science; Lisa Graves, Assistant Program Leader and Extension Specialist, Nutrition Science; Melissa Maulding, Director, Nutrition Education Programs; and Steve Yoder, Extension Educator, Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR), Tippecanoe County.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MARKET BASKET 360<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Program Overview:<\/strong> A wealth of resources on a website, educational workshop agendas, certification programs, uniform materials for cooking demonstrations, and more for Farmers&#8217; Market Masters, producers, and consumers.
