Help the Hellbender<\/a><\/h3>\n

Protecting the hellbender will take decades of continuous care and conservation effort. This website offers a variety of materials that are targeted to younger audiences. These include downloadable posters, help the hellbender stickers, printable coloring pages and how to sight a hellbender. The best way you can help the hellbenders are to experience nature firsthand.<\/p>\n

The Nature of Teaching<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Nature of Teaching is the place to go for teaching resources that focus on nature. On this website you will find free lesson plans as printable PDF files, posters, photos, information on upcoming workshops and more. Check out the new blog site and add your comments and suggestions.<\/p>\n

Great Lakes and Science Literacy Curriculum<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Center for Great lakes Literacy includes a community of Great Lakes literate educators, students, scientists, environmental professionals, and citizen volunteers, dedicated to improving Great Lakes stewardship. Free curriculum includes: IISG\u2019s Weather and Climate Toolkit; Invader Species of the Great Lakes; Ruffe Musical Chairs; Beat the Barriers and much more. The latest curriculum available now is the Freedom Seekers: The Underground Railroad, Great Lakes, and Science Literacy Activities<\/a>. The lessons featured in this free curriculum acknowledges the enslaved Africans who had to rely on environmental science principles in their quest for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. These lessons provide educators with cross-curricular teaching opportunities for middle and high school students.<\/p>\n
