The Purdue Rainscaping Education Team has scheduled a training for Extension Educators who are interested in hosting a Purdue Rainscaping Education Program in their county or region and/or have interest in teaching one of the sessions in the curriculum. This training consists of two webinars and an in-person training. The webinars will be held in August, 2017 (TBD) and the in-person training will be held September 18, 2017, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (EST) at the John S. Wright Center, West Lafayette, IN.

This training will be available for Purdue Extension Educators interested in hosting and/or co-teaching Purdue Rainscaping Education Program in their county or region. The training consists of two, one-hour webinar presentations and a one-day in-person program.

All participants will be asked to read the home learning assignments from the Blue Thumb Guide to Raingardens and watch training videos. A copy of the Blue Thumb Guide to Raingardens and information about the assignments/videos will be sent to registrants prior to the training.

*This training will involve activity outdoors to prepare and install plants in a rain garden installed on the training site. Please dress appropriately or bring proper attire for this activity.
