Meet Our Ambassador Bloggers

First up-kaleigh-edits

Name: Kaleigh Marie Spencer

Year: Sophomore

Major: Currently still undecided, but CODOing soon to Double Major in Film & Video Studies and Communications, and possibly minor in Spanish.

Why did you pick Exploratory Studies?: Gosh, there are so many reasons, I could go on for pages! But a quick summary would be that I may have been one of the most undecided people to ever attend college, and I was interested in a wide variety of majors and careers. I knew it would be a poor decision to choose something random and then end up changing it a bunch of times. Therefore Exploratory Studies was a perfect choice for me! (It turns out to be the best decision I’ve made in my college career!) :)

Favorite Memory of Exploratory Studies: I loved all of the activities in EDPS 105. Most of all, though, my favorite memory has been meeting so many incredible people (advisors and peers) who are such a supporting, fun, and encouraging group of people. Oh, and of course when I was chosen to be an Ambassador and Co-Chair. 😉 DUH! Soooo basically everything….awkward.

Favorite Food: Okay this is not even fair, I’m in love with all food. Anything Italian, mac & cheese, grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, grilled cheese, cereal, anything from a Hibachi grill, etc. Basically anything that isn’t tomatoes (my mortal enemy) or mushrooms.

Favorite Place on Campus: Either Pao, the Beering Fountain, or Beering Hall.

Favorite Sport: To watch: football (college & NFL) and wrestling. To play: softball!

Fun Facts Time!: My hair touches my butt, which I am super proud of. And basically I have an unhealthy obsession with anything that has to do with film. So much so, that I study trivia, watch behind the scenes stuff, and read articles about films in my free time. I also am obsessed with reading and I totally wish I had more time to read in college. To list just a few obsessions: Dexter, Transformers, The Hunger Games, The Twilight Saga, anything Disney related, Modern Family, anything by Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, or Martin Scorsese, and MANY many many others.

P.S: I love talking to people and answering questions, so come find me and I’ll help you with whatever you need! Or just to talk. Clearly, I could talk to a wall. :) GO EXPLORATORY STUDIES WOO!!!!!
