Once grades are posted each semester, we recommend that you closely check your grades (see the previous post as to how). Are they are sufficient to:
- Move onto the next class of a sequence (for ex. MA 224 or CHM 116)?
- Count toward CODO requirements?
Usually D’s and F’s signal the most cause for concern, but some course sequences and CODO’s require C’s (or C-‘s). To check course pre-requisites, go to MyPurdue > Academic Tab > Look Up Classes. Select your term and then your course number. If there is an “R” in a grey circle, click that to view pre-requisites, co-requisites, or restrictions concerning that course’s section.
You can also click on any CRN, then on the title of the course. Any course restrictions will be listed at the bottom of the page.
We also want to share with you our quick End_of_Semester_Grade_Checking_2013-2014 Chart. It’s a quick way to confirm grade-based CODO, major, and course requirements. This chart cannot list every eventuality, so please still check MyPurdue for the full story!
If you have questions about what to keep and what to change, please contact your advisor! Also, keep an eye out for e-mails from your advisor over the next few weeks, as CODO, academic probation, and honors processing begin today. MyPurdue remains open to everyone for course changes through January 20th.
