EXPL Fall Kickoff: College 101 (& Pizza!)
When & Where: Thursday, August 22nd from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in SMTH 118
What you'll learn: This workshop will help students feel more settled and confident about navigating life at Purdue. Topics will include:
- Adding and dropping classes
- Changing class times
- Using Brightspace
- Scheduling advising appointments
- Finding and connecting with resources for academic support
Hungry for Good Grades? (& Pizza!)
When & Where: Wednesday, August 28th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm in LILY 3118
What you'll learn: This workshop will cover specific strategies to help students stay organized, efficiently managing their time and workload. Topics will include:
- How to organize and track assignments
- Managing your time and creating an effective routine
- How to study more effectively
- Note taking tips
- Preparing for exams
- Student panel
Eat that Frog (& Pizza!) - Turning Procrastination into Focus, Creativity, and Academic Success!
When & Where: Tuesday, September 24th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in WALC 1132.
What you'll learn: This fun, frog-themed interactive workshop will show you how to turn your procrastination into creative procrastination. Topics will include:
- Dissection of the topic of procrastination
- Identifying your ugliest “frogs” (Priorities, Time-Management)
- Staying focused in your study sessions
- Sleeping your way to creativity and better learning
- Persevering! (a story of two frogs)
Still Hungry for Good Grades? (& Pizza!)
When & Where: Tuesday, October 29th from 6:00 - 7:30 pm in WALC 1132
What you'll learn: This workshop, repeated from August 28, will cover specific strategies to help students stay organized, efficiently managing their time and workload. Topics will include:
