CODOing Out of Exploratory Studies
All Exploratory Studies students must CODO (or transfer) from Exploratory Studies to one of Purdue's 10 colleges and schools in order to earn their degree. The amount of time a student can remain in Exploratory Studies depends on how the student came to our program.
- Students who begin their college career as freshmen in Exploratory Studies can remain in our program for up to four semesters (not including summer school).
- Students who come to Exploratory Studies from another college/school at Purdue or as a readmit, reentry, or transfer student can take a maximum of 60 credits while in Exploratory Studies or 95 total college credits, whichever occurs first and is the more limiting. Credits by exam, transfer credits, Advanced Placement/CEEB credits, and retake of courses while in Exploratory Studies all count toward a student's total credits. All credits a student attempts while in Exploratory Studies count toward the total number of credits the student can take as a Exploratory Studies student.
