Hometown: I was born in Lafayette, IN. I grew up in Montgomery county (out in the cornfields), then moved back to West Lafayette for undergraduate studies at Purdue and never left!

Education: BA in Film and Video Studies with a minor in Communications from Purdue University.

Experience: I have lots of experience all over the place, ranging from volunteering at a horse rescue to serving as creative director at a marketing and media company. Most recently, I spent several years as a video production specialist for Teaching and Learning Technologies here at Purdue.

Advice for the Future Boilermaker: As much as possible, try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know, but it’s advice I wish I had taken – do your best in everything, then move on and let it be. Always try to keep an open mind, and always keep learning. Like what you like, no matter what anyone says or thinks. Boiler up!

Fun Facts: I’m a certifiable animal lover – my husband and I have a dog and two cats, but I also have experience with snakes, rabbits, gerbils, horses, donkeys, and alpacas!  My husband and I love to hike, and we’ve taken several trips across the country to hike in places like Glacier National Park, Olympic National Forest, the Badlands, and others. In my free time I love to read, watch movies of all kinds, garden, and play videogames.
