Project Overview

Rationale
Active shooter events unfold in minutes, yet most detection still depends on people noticing and calling for help. This project puts weapon, thermal, and audio detection together on one affordable, self-contained device that watches an area and raises an alarm pipeline, cutting the delay between threat and response and guiding occupants to safety.
Impact
- Cut response time by flagging a threat the moment it appears, not after a 911 call.
- Keep all video and audio on the device, so it protects privacy and needs no internet.
- Fuse three sensors, so it still works when a weapon is hidden, in the dark, or off-camera.
- Help first responders and trapped occupants which exit to take in real-time as the perpetrator changes their location.
