{"id":3704,"date":"2022-09-01T20:07:47","date_gmt":"2022-09-01T20:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/engineering\/ABE\/INPREPared\/?p=3704"},"modified":"2022-11-18T15:25:32","modified_gmt":"2022-11-18T15:25:32","slug":"september-is-national-preparedness-month-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/engineering\/ABE\/INPREPared\/september-is-national-preparedness-month-2\/","title":{"rendered":"September is National Preparedness Month!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Source:  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ready.gov\/\">Ready.gov<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">National Preparedness Month &nbsp;is an observance each September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time.&nbsp; This year&#8217;s national theme is <strong>&#8220;A Lasting Legacy&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2021, FEMA\u2019s Ready Campaign and the Ad Council broke ground by producing the first-ever national preparedness campaign specifically targeting the Latino community for National Preparedness Month. Released during Hispanic Heritage month, the advertisements centered around the Latino community\u2019s commitment to personal planning for occasions and family milestones as a bridge to also planning for disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This one-of-a-kind campaign is committed to putting people first and reaching communities where they are.
