When disasters occur, an emergency savings fund can be one of the primary resources to handle natural disasters and jumpstart recovery. In this session, we will discuss specific actions that individuals and families can take to become financially prepared for any emergency or disaster situation. In addition, tools, strategies, and resources will be shared that can be used with service members and families. Sessions will offer guidance on how to work effectively with families during disasters and hazards, and many will draw from recent and ongoing situations providers are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
