Transportation and Logistics

Indiana has long been known as the "Crossroads of America" — and Purdue has played a big part in keeping the state a hub for transportation and logistics. We have over a century of experience supporting this sector to keep Indiana at the forefront of transportation of raw materials and finished goods — across the state and the continent.

Purdue brings together experts from a variety of areas — including engineering, technology and management — to support transportation and logistics partnerships across the state. We develop solutions that literally move the world forward — on the roads, on the rails and through the air.

Purdue brings more than a century of research and knowledge to help you succeed.

The College of Engineering is ranked among the best in the world and can help companies in a number of ways. We can provide a knowledge base, research (either on site or around the world), or assistance with product development and processes. Purdue Polytechnic Institute brings a more hands-on approach to its work. Usability research and process development are among the most commonly accessed services.

The Krannert School of Management focuses on the effectiveness of businesses — we help ensure the work being done is the right work and generates a profit. The Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP) develops a mix of technology transfer tools and information to addresses the needs of our local highway community. We foster a successful transportation system through training, technical assistance and technology transfer.
