Re: Period of Provisional Employment in Regular Clerical/Service Staff Positions policy removal
Effective January 1, 2018, the “Period of Provisional Employment in Regular Clerical/Service Staff Positions” policy (VPBS 167) will no longer be utilized for any employee hired after January 1, 2018. The policy will remain in effect for those employees hired prior to January 1, 2018.
The decision to remove the policy is part of the ongoing effort to update Human Resources policies; a product of our Transform Purdue efforts to streamline and simplify administrative processes at Purdue.
Communication on the removal of the policy will be delivered to the Purdue community this week via B@P News and a targeted email to supervisors of clerical/service staff on the West Lafayette campus.
