Diane Beaudoin, Director of Institutional Assessment, has been named Chief Data Officer, effective September 6.

In this role, she will provide leadership for the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment and Effectiveness which provides reporting and analysis that allows the University to most efficiently use it resources. This team’s efforts help Purdue build the most effective environment to allow our students to be successful.

Diane Beaudoin received her BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas and her PhD in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. She became a faculty member at Arizona State University before coming to Purdue in 2008 where she served as Director of Assessment for the College of Engineering and the Network for Computational Nanotechnology. In 2011 Diane moved to the Office of the Provost as Director of Assessment and in that role coordinated Purdue’s implementation of the 120 credit hour legislation for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. She moved into the role of Director of Institutional Assessment for OIRAE in 2014.

Also, Diane currently serves as the Accreditation Liaison for the HLC and is coordinating the Change of Control application for NewU.
