A word about documentation

Individuals will hear varying guidance regarding what “qualifies” as documentation. The DRC views all forms of documentation as providing useful information. We encourage students to submit the disability/accommodation documentation they think is appropriate. Everyone is unique. A conversation about your experiences and expectations will help identify the information necessary to support your accommodation requests. Helpful information may include:

• Medical records
• Psychoeducational test reports
• School records

Don’t delay in contacting the DRC, even if you do not have formal disability-related paperwork. It all starts with an initial conversation and our desire to have further conversations about your experiences as you participate in the Purdue environment.
