A Virtual Seminar with MAHZARIN BANAJI, experimental psychologist, co-author of Blindspot – The Hidden Biases of Good People

Mahzarin Banaji is Cabot Professor of Social Ethics in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University. At both Harvard and Yale (where she taught previously) she received awards for teaching excellence. Banaji was elected to the American Academy of Arts Sciences, the American Academy of Political and Social Science, the British Academy, and the National Academy of Sciences. She received the Deutsch Award for Social Justice, the Lewin Award for the Integration of Science and Social Action, SESP’s Award for Scientific Impact, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and APA’s Award for Distinguished Scientific Contribution. She was recognized by APS’s William James Fellow Award for “a lifetime of significant intellectual contributions to the basic science of psychology”.
Banaji will present a seminar on the implicit association test and how it can be used to learn about one’s own beliefs and attitudes.
