Randy Hountz

Interim Director

Randy Hountz is the Interim Director of RCHE. Since 2015, he has served and continues to serve as the director of Purdue Healthcare Advisors (PHA), RCHE’s outreach and engagement arm. Randy will continue to lead and support RCHE’s research and engagement efforts in health analytics, systems approaches around care and capacity, and rural/global health. Randy is a Board member for Riggs Community Health Center and is also an advisory committee member of AHRQ’s Health Information Technology, Evaluation, and Quality Center (HITEQ). Randy earned his Master of Science in Management, and Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, from Purdue in 1999 and 1994, respectively.

Mohammad Adibuzzaman

Assistant Director, Data And Computing

Mohammad Adibuzzaman joined RCHE in July 2015. His research interests include mathematical model development for understanding of healthcare data for better patient outcomes. He has a PhD in Computational Sciences from Marquette University. He received his Master’s degree in Computational Sciences in 2012 from the same university. Before going to Marquette, he worked as a Junior Research Assistant at the National University of Singapore and as a Software Engineer in Bangladesh. He also worked as an Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Engineering (ORISE) Fellow at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2013 and 2014.

Allison Bryan Jungels

Operations Manager, Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering
Assistant Director, Outreach and Partnerships, Purdue Healthcare Advisors

Allison Bryan-Jungels, MS, serves as the Operations Manager for the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE) and the Assistant Director, Outreach and Partnerships for Purdue Healthcare Advisors (PHA). In these roles, she oversees the daily operations at RCHE and connects the university with healthcare providers interested in improving processes within their respective organizations as well as manages an internal team of subject-matter experts who collaborate to develop innovative service offerings. Allison received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University.

Yuehwern Yih

Academic Director LASER PULSE, Associate Director of the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE)

Yuehwern Yih was appointed the associate director of RCHE in May 2016 and academic director of LASER PULSE in August 2018. Her major responsibilities include faculty engagement, strategic research initiatives, and programs coordination. She is a professor of Industrial Engineering and her expertise resides in system and process design, modeling, monitoring, and decision making to improve quality and performance. Dr. Yih provides strong leadership in infusing system engineering in healthcare services. She is an NEC Faculty Fellow, IIE Fellow, and ELATE Fellow.

Kit Klutzke

Systems Administrator

Kit Klutzke has over 20 years of professional information technology experience. He joined the center in 2014, after serving eight years as data administrator to the Registrar’s Office and previously as a systems analyst for Caterpillar, Inc. Kit strives to deliver quality IT solutions to the center and its constituents. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology from Purdue University.

Scott Starkey

Programmer Analyst

Scott Starkey joined RCHE in December 2018, but has worked for Purdue University since 1998. Over the course of his career at Purdue, he worked as a Contract Analyst for the University, reviewing, negotiating, and signing contracts, specializing in Information Technology agreements. Prior to that, he maintained the computer systems for Purdue's Department of Athletics. Scott holds bachelor's degrees in Computer Technology and Creative Writing, both from Purdue. In his spare time, he is also a professional magician.

Sara Mellady

Senior Administrative Assistant

Sara Mellady joined RCHE and Purdue in February 2019. Prior to joining Purdue, Sara worked in the insurance industry for 10+ years. Sara's extensive experience in customer service along with her planning and leadership skills are key assets to executing the administrative tasks within RCHE. Sara holds a B.S. in Business Management with a minor in Human Resources from Indiana Wesleyan University.
