Natural Resources and Environmental Science Program

Natural Resources and Environmental Science Program (NRES) is an interdisciplinary program in the Purdue College of Agriculture, which prepares students to solve environmental problems impacting our basic natural resources. Faculty from many departments contributes to the curriculum. NRES is a flexible program that allows students, working closely with an academic counselor, to develop a personal curriculum to meet their career goals. Division of Environmental and Ecological Engineering

Environmental and Ecological Engineering (EEE) offers several interdisciplinary programs of study, and serves as a first portal through which students may access related curricula offered by the College of Engineering. Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering

The Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering major offered by the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering prepares students for careers that address these and other vital concerns. The Department of Political Science offers a minor in environmental policy and politics to both Political Science majors and majors in other departments and colleges. Environmental Health Sciences

The quality and quantity of the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the environments where we live have a profound impact on our health and well-being. Environmental health professionals are involved with improving our understanding of how environmental agents may affect health in order to promote health and prevent disease. Environmental and Ecological Engineering Minor

EEE offers a minor in Environmental and Ecological Engineering as a mechanism for students in all branches of engineering, and other related fields, to gain expertise and qualifications in EEE fields. The minor is most appropriate for students who have particular environmental interests in engineering, or who want to develop a career at the interface of EEE and their chosen major field. Environmental and Sustainability Studies Certificate 

This interdisciplinary program will appeal to students interested in studying environmental and sustainability problems from a wide range of perspectives. The certificate will give students working in multiple disciplines a broad exposure to how environmental and sustainability challenges and solutions are conceived, represented, and researched in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Agriculture, and STEM disciplines.
