EPA P3 Student Design Competition

The People, Prosperity and the Planet (P3) Student Design Competition is an exciting contest supported by the EPA and open to teams of undergraduate and/or graduate students. The contest provides up to $25,000 per university undergraduate/graduate team who presents a proof-of-concept design solution for a multi-year project that addresses a sustainability challenge in one of four broad research areas:

  1. Improvement of Air Quality
  2. Clean and Safe Water
  3. Sustainable and Healthy Communities
  4. Chemical Safety

Lillian Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellowship

Interested in pursuing an interdisciplinary post-doc in engineering? Interested in sustainability and the circular economy? Looking for a positive work environment with diverse faculty mentors? Consider applying to Purdue’s prestigious Lillian Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Center for the Environment faculty affiliates in Environmental and Ecological Engineering/HORTLA are currently seeking qualified candidates, U.S. citizens or permanent residents, to apply to the Lillian Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellowship at Purdue University to work on a project investigating microbial bioleaching of metals from municipal solid waste. Discovery Park Undergraduate Research Internship Program

Discovery Park will periodically post new research projects as part of the Discovery Park Undergraduate Research Internship (DURI). The DURI program provides opportunities for undergraduate students to work with Discovery Park and C4E-affiliated faculty on cutting-edge research in the areas of global security, health, and sustainability.
