Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Systems

Members of the Hydrogen Initiative focus on fuel cell technologies and hydrogen powered systems in general. This includes fundamental studies on membranes, electrodes, and catalysts as well as the development of novel hydrogen storage and production methods. The ignition and combustion of hydrogen is another key research area as it applies to both propulsion and power applications. Applications for this work include automotive and aerospace systems, stationary power, and portable power.
