Rodrigo came to Purdue for undergraduate study from Brazil. He went on to earn his bachelors degree in 2020, and joined the Aryal Lab at the department of Comparative Pathobiology as a MS student in 2020, then moving into the PhD program in 2021. His research is focused on the process of cellular senescence or aging, which remains one of the fundamental mysteries in biology. He has great knowledge in proteomics and molecular biology, and his ongoing research has the potential to make significant contributions to the field of cancer biology aging and cancer are highly correlated biological phenomenon. Rodrigo will provide technical and practical support to the Proteomics Facility for day-to-day operations.
