Competitions Overview

Competitions provide opportunities for students to gain powerful skills and experiences in the creation and design of new technologies and also in the planning and creation of business models. 

Burton D. Morgan Business Model Competition

The goal of the Purdue University Burton D. Morgan Business Model Competition is to provide an opportunity for Purdue students to learn about entrepreneurship through the development and presentation of a business idea to a panel of judges. 

Participants in the competition have an opportunity to define their ideas in commercial terms and to compete for substantial cash prizes that could be used to further the commercialization of their inventions.

Schurz Innovation Challenge

The Schurz Communications Innovation Challenge is a chance for students to test their creativity and skills by developing and presenting a technology idea.  Students gain valuable skills related to product development as well as determining and demonstrating a value proposition.  Students compete annually for substantial cash prizes.
