Follow the guidance below based on your transfer situation. To transfer financial aid eligibility to Purdue University in West Lafayette or Indianapolis follow the instructions below based on the aid you currently receive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-e28c9266-4346-4fba-9548-f47d29e64d50\">Information can be forwarded to Purdue University by going online. You\u2019ll need Purdue\u2019s school code (001825) to send aid over. We\u2019ll determine eligibility for need-based aid using the FAFSA. Keep in mind that we may request documents to verify FAFSA data, but please only send verification documents if they are requested. Forward your FAFSA information on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Federal Student Aid website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Health Professions Student Loan Program (HPSL) Loan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-7ca4e948-30ba-4d2c-bfa9-c38ade906b75\">Contact your previous institution to cancel any pending disbursements. You may not receive a Health Professional Student Program Loan at Purdue; it depends on our funding. If you&#8217;re offered a loan, it will be reflected in your financial aid notification. You will need to accept the loan on your <a href=\"http:\/\/mypurdue.purdue.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">myPurdue<\/a> portal and complete another promissory note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE) Award<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-22cb4580-f9bb-4669-8eab-7eaa4bbeeadc\">If you have an award from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE), contact them directly to change your school choice; this can be done online on your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scholartrack.che.in.gov\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2f%22%20\\l%20%22\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>ScholarTrack<\/strong><\/a> account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Private Award Scholarship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-adff5239-f210-4a41-9a87-188d16c3e4fc\">If you have a scholarship awarded to you from a private award donor (other than the college\/university you&#8217;re currently attending), contact the donor to  notify them that you will be attending Purdue so they can forward any awards to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/bursar\/contact\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bursar&#8217;s Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Federal Direct Subsidized\/Unsubsidized Educational Loan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-1cfcedc9-4008-4282-b20f-4a1326064270\">Contact your previous institution and make sure they cancel the second disbursement of your loan in both their system and the Department of Education system. You may reapply for your remaining loan eligibility at Purdue, and we can help you make sure it was canceled if you&#8217;re unsure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Temporary Transfer to West Lafayette or Indianapolis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to transfer from another university or from a different Purdue campus to our West Lafayette or Indianapolis locations on a temporary basis, consult with the <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.purdue.edu\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Office of Admissions<\/a> in regards to being admitted to a degree program. If this is not possible, consult with a financial aid counselor. You\u2019ll have to reapply for remaining loan eligibility at your new institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Temporary Transfer to a Regional Campus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to transfer from our West Lafayette or Indianapolis locations to a regional campus on a temporary basis, consult with the regional campus admissions office regarding admission to a degree program. If this is not possible, consult with a financial aid counselor.<\/p>\n\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"purdue-accordion-wrap  purdue-accordion-wrap--small\">\n    <div class=\"section has-none-background has-padding-top-none has-padding-bottom-none has-no-sidepadding\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n            <div class=\"purdue-accordion has-no-topborder\">\n                <h2 class=\"accordion__heading purdue-accordion__title  purdue-accordion__title--small\" id=\"title-4ba70636-9bac-4b15-be27-5f96013d5b82\">\n                    <button aria-controls=\"content-4ba70636-9bac-4b15-be27-5f96013d5b82\" aria-expanded=\"false\">Academic Year Temporary Regional Campus Transfer<\/button>\n                <\/h2>\n                <div class=\"accordion__content purdue-accordion__content\" id=\"content-4ba70636-9bac-4b15-be27-5f96013d5b82\">\n                    \n\n<p>Students seeking a degree at Purdue University who plan to enroll at a Purdue regional campus on a temporary basis for fall or spring may be eligible to receive federal financial aid through Purdue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All fee dedicated aid, such as CVO fee remissions and staff dependent fee remissions, will be processed by the regional campus you will be attending. If a separate application and\/or documentation is required, it must be submitted to the regional campus.<\/em>&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students temporarily attending a regional campus are ONLY eligible for Federal financial aid.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Federal Pell Grant (if eligible)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federal Direct Loan&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federal Parent\/Graduate PLUS Loan (separate application required)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>At least half-time enrollment is required for the use of Federal Direct and PLUS Loans.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For undergraduate students, at least six credit hours is half-time.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For graduate and professional students, at least four credit hours is half-time.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All students must have the following\u202finformation on file before aid can be processed:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A 2025-26 FAFSA, unless only private loans will be utilized.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any documentation required to complete the 2025-26 FAFSA file. The Division of Financial Aid (DFA) will notify students of any requests for additional information, such as a student&#8217;s or parent&#8217;s tax return transcript.\u202fDo\u202fnot submit information to DFA unless requested to do so by our office.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Regional Campus Temporary Transfer Aid Application completed and signed by both the student and Purdue University academic advisor (see link below under \u201cOther Important Information\u201d).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure you have completed the correct&nbsp;<strong>Intercampus TEMPORARY Transfer Admissions application<\/strong>&nbsp;at the regional campus you plan to attend for fall&nbsp;or spring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Important Information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You must meet&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/dfa\/manage\/#SAP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Satisfactory Academic Progress<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;requirements.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial aid is based on the number of credit hours in which a student is enrolled\u202fand\u202fhas initiated course participation as of the end of the\u202fsixth week of classes.\u202fCheck out more information about&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/dfa\/contact\/policiesappeals\/#ICP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>initial course participation<\/strong>.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The process to receive financial aid as a Purdue University Temporary Regional Campus transfer student can take\u202ffour to six weeks once the application is submitted. Financial aid will be disbursed to the student,\u202fand the student is responsible for paying the host institution\u202f(regional campus) with the financial aid refund they receive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>At any time a student\u202fchanges enrollment\u202fwhile temporarily attending a regional campus and is receiving aid for that attendance through Purdue University,\u202fthe student is responsible<\/em>\u202f<em>for notifiying both Financial Aid offices of that enrollment change.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once available, download and complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.purdue.edu\/dfa\/form\/Regional-Campus-Academic-Year-Financial-Aid.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Regional Campus Temporary Transfer Aid Application<\/a>.&nbsp;Return the completed and signed application to the Division of Financial Aid at Purdue West Lafayette\/Indianapolis.
