These steps are typical for a new student beginning in the fall semester. However, if you are beginning in the summer or waiting until the spring semester, the aid application and dates remain the same. Contact our office<\/a><\/strong> with any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

October<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Submit your FAFSA<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 2026-27 FAFSA is open. Submit by Purdue\u2019s priority date of April 15 to receive priority consideration for federal, state of Indiana (residents only) and university-based financial aid.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

November<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Prospective First-Year Scholarships<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For maximum scholarship consideration, your admission application and all required supporting materials must be received or postmarked by Nov. 1.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All freshman students who meet this deadline will automatically be considered for university-wide merit scholarships (no additional action necessary). \u202f <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

December<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Maximize scholarship eligibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Students are encouraged to complete the\u00a0Purdue Departmental Scholarship Application<\/a>\u00a0after it opens and before the priority deadline of Dec. 15,\u00a0<\/strong>to be considered for departmental scholarships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New incoming students can log in to Scholarship Universe<\/strong><\/a> by selecting the “Admissions Application Portal Login”<\/strong> option. You will be prompted to enter the username and password you created when applying through the Admissions Application Portal <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some colleges at Purdue use a departmental scholarship application<\/a> to collect information not found on the admission application. This information is used to award academic scholarships in these specific colleges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After your admissions application is submitted by Nov. 1, to maximize consideration for scholarships awarded by these academic departments, high school seniors should complete the following items:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though Purdue\u2019s priority FAFSA date is April 15, we encourage students to submit a 2026-27 FAFSA by Dec. 15<\/strong>, as departments begin awarding need-based scholarships as early as January. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Search for private scholarships<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Utilize free outside sources such as Scholarship Universe<\/a><\/strong>, www.finaid.org<\/a> and www.fastweb.com<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n
