Eli Lilly and Purdue University are partnering on an innovative pharmaceutical manufacturing scholarship program that will continue Purdue’s track record of finding unique ways to keep the cost of college within reach.

Notification of those awarded the Lilly Scholars at Purdue program will be included in the admission decision letters that will be released on January 15 at 5 p.m. ET. This is a highly competitive opportunity.

Where do I find out more information about the guaranteed internship or co-op? 

Further information will be given to those who are awarded the scholarship. 

What majors are considered related to the pharmaceutical industry? 

Preference will be for students in STEM majors.

What is considered full tuition, and how much is that for me? 

Full tuition includes the total cost of tuition. The actual amount varies depending on your residency. Learn more about Purdue’s tuition costs.

What do I need to do to stay in the Lilly Scholars program? 

To renew your Purdue-awarded scholarship each semester, you need to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as well as any other renewal requirements specified under the Lilly Scholars program section.

Does participation in this program guarantee a job after college at Eli Lilly? 

No, participation in this program does not guarantee a job at Eli Lilly, but participating students will have preferred access and opportunities to compete for roles.  

Does participation in this program lock me into working for Eli Lilly after college? 

No, however, Purdue and Lilly hope that the opportunities, experiences, and connections gained during your time as a Lilly Scholar will open doors for you at Eli Lilly and beyond in the pharmaceutical industry. Full details about the guaranteed internship or co-op experience are still being finalized. The Office of Professional Practice will have more details about the experiences as Fall 2023 gets underway.
