"Mythbusting Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer through novel Cyberinfrastructure"

Friday, September 25

STEW 214 AB: 10:15 - 11:15 AM

Translational research requires the transfer of knowledge beyond traditional journal publications to a broader audience. Can advanced Cyberinfrastructure support and speed up such knowledge transfer? Can research software be reused for research by others? Can research software be used in classrooms? Who are the stakeholders and what are the incentive systems in such an infrastructure? Can we understand user and learner behavior and help support personalized learning?

Bio: Gerhard Klimeck is a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Purdue University, as well as the Director of the Network for Computational Nanotechnology and the Reilly Director of the Center for Predictive Materials and Devices. His research interests include nanoelectronic device analysis and development, high performance computing, and engineering tool development.
