Today's cutting edge research has become increasingly interdisciplinary, calling on the insights of researchers from many disciplines. Faculty and students from every discipline, along with collaborators from beyond Purdue University, come together in Discovery Park (DP) to solve society's grand challenges.

Currently, DP has ten interdependent core centers: (1) Bindley Bioscience Center, (2) Birck Nanotechnology Center, (3) Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship, (4) Center for Advanced Manufacturing, (5) Center for the Environment, (6) Cyber Center,
(7) Discovery Learning Center, (8) e-Enterprise Center, (9) Energy Center and (10) Oncological Sciences Center.

In addition, DP has the following project-based centers and programs:

The Purdue University Alfred Mann Institute for Biomedical Development will be located at Discovery Park.

To date, Discovery Park 's economic impact includes:

  • 21 new companies seeded and/or assisted
  • 165 jobs created by these 21 companies
  • 140 licenses and options taken on intellectual property created within DP
  • 192 jobs created within Discovery Park
  • $115+ million for construction of facilities
  • $223 million in externally sponsored research as of June 30, 2007
  • 100+ companies are engaged with Discovery Park Centers
  • 331 students provided 140,000 hours of work to 115 Indiana start-up companies as part of the Interns for Indiana program.
  • 3,200 faculty and students involved in entrepreneurial education and activities
  • Seven strategic global partnerships

Discovery Park is educating leaders for tomorrow - hiring and retaining the brightest minds in the state of Indiana.  Discovery Park speeds new inventions and accelerates technology commercialization to create high-tech industry in the state of Indiana.
