Religion Surveys in Mainland China

Professor Wang will introduce a number of major surveys focusing on religion in China, including the China Religion Survey (CRS, 2013-15), the Chinese Religious Attitudes and Behaviors Survey (CRABS 2016), as well as the CGSS 2010. He will also discuss the survey design and administration, sampling strategy, and some research findings based on these large-scale national surveys.
 
Specializing in survey methodology, social statistics, and sociology of religion, WEIDONG WANG serves as the Deputy Director of the National Survey Research Center of China. He is the (co-)principal Investigator of multiple large-scale national surveys, including the Chinese General Social Survey (CGSS), East Asian Social Survey, China Education Panel Survey, and China Religion Survey.
