Welcome!

The Friends are a dynamic group of arts enthusiasts who provide financial support for our performances and education programs. Ticket sales only cover 60% of our programming costs, so Friends support is vital to our mission to connect artists and audiences. Here is a sampling of what Friends gifts helped audience members of all ages experience last year:

  • 33 performances were presented for the community.
  • 5,304 preschool through grade 12 students from 40 schools and 8 counties attended a matinee performance at Purdue University.
  • 2,457 (46%) of these students received a free or discounted ticket to attend.
  • $11,072 in scholarships were distributed to help schools in need.
  • 925 college students at Purdue University and Ivy Tech Community College received a low-priced $10 or $15 ticket when their professor integrated a performance into their classroom curriculum.

Annual Gifts can help Convocations expand the reach of its programming in many ways. Unrestricted gifts help pay the costs of presenting performances, provide educational programming support and help pay organizational operating expenses. Designated gifts are also welcomed.

Designated Funds are larger gifts set aside for specific performances or programs. Gifts accumulate and are spent as needed by the respective program.

Endowments provide Convocations programs with financial support for the future. Donors who make a one-time gift or pledge of $10,000 or more to an existing endowment qualify for Lifetime Friends privileges and receive an infusion of priority points to improve seating.

Planned giving options are also available and provide membership in the Purdue Convocations Legacy Society.  For more information, visit thePurdue Planned Giving website.

Priority Points VideoThe purpose of the Priority Point System is to acknowledge individual Friends for both their loyalty and financial support. Friends receive credit each year in the form of points for their cumulative giving, consecutive years of membership, and for their PICK 5 purchases.

During the seating process, Friends receive a point total and ranking. Ticket orders are placed in rank order, highest to lowest, and tickets are assigned on a show-by-show basis. As seats are assigned, personal preferences are taken into account using a Seating Preferences Form, which is submitted along with each ticket order during the pre-sale period.
