Two Pints is a hilarious, bittersweet, innovative work from Dublin’s celebrated Abbey Theatre and Roddy Doyle, the poet laureate of Ireland’s working class.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the dates for TWO PINTS had to be rescheduled to February 5-10. Please contact the Convocations office with any additional questions.
It started as Facebook conversation. Now it’s a play at a pub. Two Pints is a hilarious, bittersweet work from Dublin’s celebrated Abbey Theatre and Roddy Doyle, the poet laureate of Ireland’s working class behind The Commitments, The Snapper, and The Van. Two men meet to chew the fat about their “Da’s,” death, Nigella Lawson, North Korea, and the afterlife. Don’t crane your ear for their craic. Pull up a stool beside them for an immersive, limited-seating dinner and performance at Nine Irish Brothers, Lafayette. In the vein of The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart and At the Illusionist’s Table, Convocations is thrilled to again transform a beloved everyday environment into an unforgettable theatrical experience.
TWO PINTS is a special, limited engagement with only six seatings of 60 guests each during its run. To accommodate the seating demand, there is a limit of four tickets per household, and ticket requests will be filled in Friends Priority Point order. Each general-admission ticket includes a traditional Irish dinner specially developed by our friends at Nine Irish Brothers. A cash bar will be available for dinner service and at intermission.
