About the organization

Purdue Convocations is a multi-disciplinary performing arts presenting organization based at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. For more than a century, Convocations has served the region as a presenter of world-class, national and international artists across the performing arts and entertainment spectrum, with over 30 productions each academic year in multiple campus and community venues ranging from 140-6,000 seats. As a presenter at an institution of higher education, Convocations has a strong tradition of curricular engagement as it connects visiting artists with classroom discourse in both the pre-school to grade 12 and collegiate communities. Widely recognized for its diverse programmatic vision, Convocations explores classic and contemporary aesthetics, presents established as well as emerging artists, participates in the creation of new work, and benefits from the presence of an internationalized, educated audience. Available Positions

Guest Relations and Box Office Manager

As the Guest Relations and Box Office Manager for Hall of Music Productions (a peer organization of Purdue Convocations), you will manage the box office and guest relations activities for Elliott Hall of Music, Loeb Playhouse, Fowler Hall, and Slayter Center. You will oversee all ticketing functions including financial oversight, day of show reporting, and marketing activities. The successful candidate will utilize ticketing systems in creative ways to develop new business opportunities and lead the guest relations team in all ushering and guest service functions. Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate and schedule administrative, clerical and service staff performing guest relations responsibilities. Additionally, you will make budgetary recommendations regarding area income and expenses. This position includes long, irregular hours, involving evenings and weekends based on business need. 

About Hall of Music Productions

Hall of Music Productions serves as Purdue University’s professional in-house production company to provide the latest technological offerings in audio, lighting, staging, live video, and video pre and postproduction for events on and off campus. We produce over 1100 events annually, each custom created with the client’s vision in mind.
