Use the guide below to&nbsp;know&nbsp;exactly where to go, what to&nbsp;bring&nbsp;and how the ceremony will unfold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>There is no rehearsal for target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ceremonies Schedule<\/a><strong>.<\/strong> All times listed are&nbsp;<strong>Eastern Time<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read the check-in and procession instructions&nbsp;so you know where to go and when.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Share the <a href=\"\/commencement\/families-and-guests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Families and Guests page<\/a>&nbsp;with friends and family.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan to arrive at the Armory&nbsp;wearing your cap and gown&nbsp;<strong>90 minutes&nbsp;before<\/strong>&nbsp;your class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Location:<\/strong>&nbsp;Purdue Armory (AR)&nbsp;<br><strong>Arrival Time:<\/strong>&nbsp;90 minutes&nbsp;before your ceremony&nbsp;<br><strong>Attire:<\/strong>&nbsp;Cap and gown must be worn upon arrival&nbsp;<br><strong>Bags:<\/strong>&nbsp;Leave all bags at home or in your vehicle; storage is not available<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you arrive, you&#8217;ll:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check in with your&nbsp;college or school&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive honor cords (if eligible)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive your&nbsp;orator card&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take your&nbsp;professional portrait&nbsp;(available only if you arrive on time)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pick up your&nbsp;commencement program&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Line up for the academic procession into Elliott Hall of Music<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you arrive less than&nbsp;90 minutes&nbsp;before your ceremony, you may not have time to complete all check-in steps and may&nbsp;forfeit&nbsp;your portrait opportunity.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"\/commencement\/families-and-guests\/#photos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn more about photography and video at the ceremony<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If you arrive after the ceremony begins, you will not be&nbsp;permitted&nbsp;to&nbsp;participate.&nbsp;<\/strong>You may Instructions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The academic procession begins&nbsp;<strong>approximately 35 minutes before<\/strong>&nbsp;the published ceremony&nbsp;start time.&nbsp;If an emergency delays your arrival&nbsp;<em>after<\/em>&nbsp;the procession begins, <strong>do&nbsp;not<\/strong>&nbsp;join the line.&nbsp;Report directly to the&nbsp;Elliott Hall of Music lobby&nbsp;for instructions.&nbsp;If you arrive after the ceremony has officially started, you will not be&nbsp;permitted&nbsp;to&nbsp;participate&nbsp;and must request returnee approval for a future ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"procession-maps\"><strong>Procession Maps<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Standard Route<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your procession will route from the Armory alongside Elliott Hall and the length of Purdue Mall before circling back through the center of the mall, around the Engineering Fountain and up the main staircase of Hovde Hall before&nbsp;continuing&nbsp;into Elliott Hall.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img during the procession.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PhD graduates<\/strong>: Carry your hood over your&nbsp;left arm,&nbsp;velvet facing outward.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3
