Diploma Information

  • If requirements are complete and your college has cleared you to graduate, the diploma will be mailed by the United States Postal Service 6-8 weeks following the end of the term.  International diploma mailing addresses sent by the United States Postal Service will arrive 8-10 weeks following the end of the term. Tracking information is NOT provided.
  • Spring ceremony only: Graduates who attend will receive their official diploma on stage. Graduates who do not attend will have their diplomas mailed as stated above.
  • Please provide a diploma address through the commencement task list on your myPurdue portal by this deadline. If you do not provide a diploma address, your diploma will be sent to your permanent address on file and may be outdated.
  • For international diploma mailing addresses: If you are using an international mailing address, we highly recommend that you pay the special FedEx reduced shipping fee, found on the Commencement Task List in your myPurdue portal. If you do not pay the special shipping fee and your diploma is lost in the mail, then you will be required to order a duplicate diploma at your expense directly from the printing vendor and the expedited international shipping cost is $175.00.

International Addresses

Please watch the following video for instructions on how to add your diploma mailing address in myPurdue: International Diploma Address-You Tube

If you met requirements to graduate, a degree award notification will appear on your official transcript. Check Key Dates and Deadlines for the date this notification will appear.

Diplomas Held for Mailing Address

Effective January 2022, diplomas being held for a mailing address or those returned to the Office of the Registrar as undeliverable will only be kept for one calendar year from conferral. After that date, you will be required to order a duplicate/reissued diploma.

Diploma Information

If you plan to have your diploma framed, please note that framing processes that require heat can damage the diploma and should not be used.

Double majors are reminded that they receive only one degree -- and thus only one diploma.
