Accessibility Needs

Candidates requiring accessibility assistance to participate in the commencement exercise should e-mail commencement@purdue.edu as soon as possible to make appropriate arrangements. The e-mail should include the following:

  • Name of candidate
  • PUID
  • College or Division
  • Accommodation needs

Candidates with physically-restricted guests who require accessible seating also should e-mail commencement@purdue.edu no later than two weeks prior to the ceremony. The e-mail should include the following:

  • Name of candidate
  • PUID
  • College or Division
  • Guest name requesting accommodations
  • Accommodation needs
  • Name of escort

Guests requiring accessible seating should enter the auditorium through the lower exit doors on the north and south sides of Elliott Hall of Music. Drop off vehicles should enter from the Third/University Street entrance.

All guests requiring accessible seating must have a general admission ticket, supplied by the candidate as part of their guest ticket allotment, to enter the Elliott Hall of Music.

Headsets are available at no charge through the Elliott Hall of Music Box Office for those persons requiring hearing assistance. Call (765) 494-3933 for details.

Sign language interpretive service is provided as part of the ceremony.
