College of Liberal Arts

Dean's Scholars Program

This program offers a select group of first-year students the opportunity to live in a learning community with other high achievers, to meet faculty and administrators at special events, to take a one-credit seminar on undergraduate research and success with the director of honors, and to pursue research with a member of the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) faculty. All incoming students who are awarded either a Trustees Scholarship or Presidential Scholarship or who qualify for the CLA Honors Program are invited to apply. To qualify for the honors program, first-year students need to have a combined SAT score of 1800 or higher, an ACT score of 26 or higher or be in the upper 10 percent of their graduating class. For more about this program, please see the CLA Honors Program website, www.cla.purdue.edu/academics/honors.
