Workshop Request Form

As CAPS is implementing a new brief phone screening system in Spring 2020, Outreach Services at CAPS will be more streamlined and limited to specific topics that have been frequently requested over the past two years.

Workshops and seminars will still be designed with a focus on prevention, education, relationships and self-awareness. Available topics will be limited to those listed below. We will do our best to meet your request; however, it may be likely our staff resources are limited and the program request may be declined.

CAPS is also currently offering scheduled programs on various topics. Please click to see available programs, and corresponding details for the programs. Please also consider Purdue’s Wellness Programs, which also provides presentations about well-being topics relevant to students.

How to schedule a presentation:

  • Submit the online request form at least three weeks in advance.
  • After receiving the online form, a CAPS staff member will contact you to discuss the activity.
  • Once you have confirmation by a staff member that your activity request will be fulfilled, advertise your program.
  • Please note that we prefer that presenations NOT be recorded or are only recorded if parameters are put into place to protect students who might share sensitive mental health information/questions during the program. This might mean not recording Q & A portions of presentations or having a moderator so questions can be posed anonymously. The CAPS clinician will discuss this issue with you and let you know whether recording will be allowed.

Available presentations:

  • Self-care and/or stress management
  • Addressing stigma about mental health
  • Identifying signs of distress, supporting others and self
  • Procrastination
  • Imposter syndrome
  • Toxic relationships
  • Integrating creativity in academia

If you have not received a response within 7 days from the date your request, please contact our office.
