PICR Early Career Research Achievement Award
Purpose:
The Purdue Institute of Cancer Research (PICR) recognizes research that goes beyond the candidate’s dissertation and demonstrates clear scientific/scholarly contributions as a result of work completed while a PICR member. For this award, PICR seeks candidates who have demonstrated impact on their field.
Criteria:
Tenure-track, assistant professors who have been on faculty at Purdue for at least two years prior to nomination. A faculty member can only be recognized for this award once. Any PICR member can submit a nomination for this award.
Nomination Procedure:
- Nominations should be submitted as a single PDF file here by March 3, 2025.
- The PICR Executive Committee will serve as the selection committee.
- The nomination must include in the following order:
- Cover page (template below)
- Letter of nomination
- Nominees CV
- A second letter of support from either another PICR member or one external cancer
- If an external letter of support, a one-paragraph description or a website link with the credentials of the external reviewer
Deadline: The nomination packet can be submitted here as a single PDF file by March 3, 2025.
Recognition: The awardee will be announced at the Spring Awards Ceremony and will receive a monetary award of $1,000 and a plaque.
