Gender and Leadership Conference

Inaugural Leadership Excellence and Gender in Organizations Series research symposium

This was held in March 2016 at Purdue University at the Krannert’ s School of Management Executive Center. Business leaders, faculty and students from over 35 universities around the world and 8 countries attended this conference. Keynote speakers included experts on topics from STEM, gender in teams, diversity and inclusion climate, mentoring, and entrepreneurship from industry (GE, PayPal, IBM, PwC, Accenture) and academia as well as competitive paper presenters from around the world.

  • Rosabeth Moss Kanter Lecture Series co-sponsored with the Center for Families on campus led by Dr. Shelley Wadsworth MacDermid.
    • 2014 – 2015 Organized First Research Brown Bag Series on Gender and Leadership jointly with I-O Psychology and Management Speakers included Ellen Galinsky from the Families and Work Institute, Dr. Jenny Hoobler, from the University of Illinois- Chicago (Now at University of Pretoria, South Africa ), and Dr. Susan Lambert from the University of Chicago
    • Joint series with Management and I-O Psychology was held

  • Organized National Work Family Research Network Conference as President and Program Chair in New York in 2014 working with Purdue Butler Team and graduate students
