Enabling Success of Faculty at Purdue: Coaching and Resource Network (CRN) as a Pilot Program

crowd Inaugural workshop - Coaching and Networking - for CRN members conducted by Professor Geri Richmond from the University of Oregon

The Susan Bulkeley Center for Leadership Excellence in partnership with ADVANCE Purdue is announcing a Coaching and Resource network (CRN) for assistant and associate professors (tenure-track/tenured/clinical) as a pilot program starting spring 2019. The main goal of the network is to coach and mentor faculty. The CRN is created to be outside the appeal and evaluative process. The members of the CRN (henceforth member/s) will coach assistant and associate professors beyond disciplinary needs and requirements and develop a long-term ongoing relationship.

The Faculty Liaison Program is designed to provide a support and information network for faculty dealing with issues in their professional life and environment. Liaisons can discuss issues related to a faculty member’s career or climate, help faculty in finding resources to address issues they encounter, and support faculty as they work through the Purdue system on issues. Liaisons are not meant to provide a long-term mentoring relationship, but instead to help with an acute issue that arises. For details, contact Dr. Jessica Huber, Associate Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs: jhuber@purdue.edu.
