Indicate all procedures and related information for each applicable Species Group that will be conducted on this protocol.

bullet Add Procedures

1.  Click the "Add Procedures" link at the top of the page


2.  Group: Select the desired Group from the drop-down list

noteNOTE: The list of available Groups is populated from the Species/Groups screen. To make additional groups available here for Procedure assignment, they must first be added to the Species/Groups Screen.

3.  Species: Will auto-populate based off data entered on Species/Groups screen

4.  Procedure Category: Select the desired category of procedure from the drop-down list

5.  Procedure: Select the specific procedure that will be conducted

6.  Pain Category: Will auto-populate based off data entered on Species/Groups screen

7.  Count: Enter number of animals from the designated group for this specific procedure

8.  Locations: Information on the physical location of where this procedure will be conducted


  • Click Add Location to open corresponding data fieldsLocation Type: Select the appropriate location Type from the drop-down list (Do Not Use "Search")
  • Location Name: Select the appropriate location Name from the drop-down list (Do Not Use Search)
  • Room: Free text field, enter the room number of the lab or location
  • Description: If specific building, enter street address. If no address, enter description/location title
  • Repeat to add additional Locations

9.  Add Procedure Personnel

noteNOTE: The list of available Procedure Personnel is populated by those named on the Investigators/Study Personnel screen. To add individuals to the list of available Procedure Personnel, they MUST be added to the other screen first.


  • Click "Add Procedure Personnel Details"
  • Select person that will be conducting this procedure from the available list
  • Repeat for all additional individuals that will be conducting this procedure
noteNOTE: The "Training Details" link is not yet active here at Purdue. No Training Information is currently available in this screen but is scheduled for future investigation and development.

10.  Overview and Timeline: DO NOT USE

11.  Click "Save"

12.  Repeat all steps for additional Procedures.
