Keeping Connected within Business Management

Staying involved with what's going on within Business Management.  Networking groups, Awards, Events and Minutes are among some ways to stay connected with your fellow Business Managers.

Cornerstone Networking Initiatives (CNI)- Sharing positive experiences among peers can inspire idea cultivation, leadership development, progressive retention, and brand loyalty. Peer networking can be the foundation for positive growth throughout an organization.  Business Management proposes Cornerstone Networking Initiatives to lay the groundwork for increased networking opportunities.

Business Management Events - Keep up-to-date on all that is happening within Business Management, including forums, retreats and the DFA Meetings.

Eleanor O. Kaplan Award - An award given annually to honor positive and cheerful attitudes and the following the importance of customer-valued service.

Director of Finacial Affairs (DFA) Meeting Minutes - Every two weeks DFAs meet to keep everyone informed on what's going on in their areas.  Don't miss out on something that could affect how you do business.

Business Management Diversity Plan - Business Management coordinates and supervises all business aspects of the University's academic departments, schools, and administrative units. Business Management is the link between academic departments or units and other areas of Business Services. More than 100 staff, including Directors of Financial Affairs, Business Managers, and Research Support Specialists at the West Lafayette Campus support and serve the University's Vice Presidents, Deans, Department Heads, Faculty, and other staff.

Expectations for Business Managers Serving on Centrally Led Projects - These expectations should be reviewed with individuals serving as our representative on a central process improvement or issue resolution project.  Items are dependent on the scope of the project and can be tailored as needed.  Regardless of the scope of the project or their role, individuals are representing business management and should work collaboratively with the team members to develop mutually agreeable outcomes.
