Afternoon Section Added for New ‘Park Direct Invoices’ Course - 09/21/10

An afternoon section of the newly developed Accounts Payable course, “BDRCT 210—Park Direct Invoices,” has opened today to accommodate the number of requests for enrollment.

The added section will be taught 2-4 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 23 in the ITaP Training Room, located on the second floor of Freehafer Hall. It comes in addition to the previously announced morning class, meeting that day from 10 to noon.

The course will focus on distributed directs, a process that allows business office staff to enter and park their own non-purchase order invoices directly into SAP, eliminating the need for an Invoice Voucher to be created. BDRCT 210 participants will learn how to park direct invoices in SAP using T-code ZV60. Supervisors of participants in the course should request the role AP260_000_AP_Distributed_DIR_INV_CLERK_ENTRY for access to the T-code following the training. The instructor will be Gayle Stetler, manager, Accounts Payable.

To ensure a seat in the class, participants must register in advance via PREMIS with their Purdue career account and password. After logging in, click “Business Systems,” then “Accounting,” and then the 2-4 p.m. offering of “BDRCT 210—Park Direct Invoices” and follow the instructions to complete the enrollment.

Participants must have completed the prerequisites, “SAPNAV 115” and “BAP 100.” Registration for both of these self-directed, online Blackboard courses also is provided through PREMIS and can be found among the “Basic Skills” offerings.
